The pre-filing check: know what LHDN would ask — before you submit

Tax mistakes are rarely deliberate: one relief over its cap, two identical receipts, an image that never uploaded, an EA form not yet scanned. ListBelanja's pre-filing check reads your records against that year's LHDN relief table and gives one audit-ready score from 0 to 100 — with an action list that takes you straight to the receipt or setting that needs fixing.

Updated

Checked against official LHDN sources: relief table · rates, deadlines & rules . Checked automatically every day; a change is accepted only after two identical readings. Year of assessment: YA2025.

What gets checked

  • Each relief code's cap and shared-group caps (reliefs that share one ceiling) — from that assessment year's LHDN table, which updates itself.
  • Proof: receipts without an image, AI reads you have not confirmed, receipts the AI has not read yet, and duplicates (same shop, date & total).
  • Relief amounts larger than the receipt total; receipt dates outside the assessment year.
  • Income profile: salary & PCB not filled in, EA form not scanned, spouse income for joint assessment, zakat above tax (the rebate only reaches zero).
  • e-Invoices: relief receipts dated after LHDN's mandatory date that still have no e-Invoice — when the rule sets one.
  • Reliefs you qualify for but have no receipt yet — a note, not a warning.

The audit-ready score 0–100

Every issue deducts points by weight — blocking issues (a cap exceeded, an amount above the receipt) weigh most, notes never deduct. The grade Ready, Nearly or Needs action appears on the Home card and in the e-Filing tab; tap any issue to open the receipt, calculator or setting it concerns. The score is computed on your device from your own records — it is not an LHDN assessment.

Who it is for

  • Salaried employees & families — before Form BE, make sure every relief receipt can be defended.
  • Freelancers, professionals & landlords — Form B with business income; the check reads business totals as income.
  • Accountants — a client's score is visible inside the client space; the action list becomes a pre-filing checklist.
  • Beginners — plain language, one action at a time.

Frequently asked questions

Does a score of 100 mean LHDN will not review me?

No. The score measures how complete and consistent your records are against that year's LHDN table — so you can answer any review with proof. LHDN chooses its own review cases.

Where do the relief caps in this check come from?

From the LHDN relief table synced every day — that assessment year's codes, caps and shared groups. No cap is typed into the app; when LHDN changes one, the check changes with it.
