About ListBelanja

ListBelanja is developed independently in Malaysia for a problem everyone knows: scattered receipts, relief caps that change, and tax forms that intimidate. This page explains who is behind the app, where every figure comes from, how it is verified, and — plainly — what ListBelanja is not.

Who is behind ListBelanja

ListBelanja is an independent project built and maintained in Malaysia — not a subsidiary of any tax firm, bank or government agency. It is built for individuals, families, salaried employees, freelancers, SMEs, landlords, companies, associations and accountants, in Bahasa Melayu, English and Chinese.

We take no payment from any third party to recommend products, there are no ads, and your records are never sold. The only income is the paid plan you choose yourself; the free plan stays free.

Where every figure comes from

  • Relief tables, tax rates, rebates, deadlines and e-Invoice thresholds are read from the official LHDN and Ministry of Finance pages every day — not typed by hand.
  • A change is accepted only after two identical readings on different days; every tax page shows the date it was last checked.
  • When LHDN has not yet published a new year's table, Budget figures are used provisionally and clearly labelled; they are replaced automatically once the official table appears.
  • The public calculators, example pages, situation pages and the app all use the SAME calculation engine — one source, not three versions.
  • The list of official sources read, and what is derived from each, is on the Official LHDN references page.

What ListBelanja is NOT

  • Not LHDN and not affiliated with it — we read the official sources, but tax decisions are LHDN's.
  • Not a licensed tax agent and not tax advice — estimates are a planning tool; you file your own return on MyTax.
  • Not a place that stores your MyTax password, card numbers or bank accounts — the app never asks for them.
  • Not an app that quietly decides for you — every receipt the AI reads can be checked and corrected, and every form box shows where its figure comes from.

How the app looks after itself

Public pages are regenerated whenever official data changes; the app checks itself every hour, repairs temporary faults on its own and only tells the owner what was done. Data security — encryption, per-group isolation in the database, daily backups, a trash and self-service deletion — is explained in plain language on the Data security page, and anyone can check every component on the Status page.

Contact us

Inside the app, More › Help & feedback sends a problem report, suggestion or question straight to the owner, and My reports shows the reply. The official social media accounts are listed in the footer of every page.

Frequently asked questions

Is ListBelanja part of LHDN?

No. ListBelanja is an independent project that reads official LHDN sources; it is not endorsed, operated or sponsored by LHDN.

Can I trust the figures on this site?

Every tax figure is read from official sources daily and accepted only after two identical readings; pages show the last check date, and provisional values are labelled. They are planning estimates — the official assessment comes from LHDN.

Who can see my receipts?

Only you and the group members you invite, according to the role you give them. The app owner does not review users' receipts; the database refuses cross-group access. Details on the Data security page.
