The weekday is worked out from the date. Notes list the festivals the circular mentions for that month; “amended” means ANM changed that date after the circular was issued.
When are the pay dates announced?
ANM sets the pay dates every year through an Accountant General's circular (Surat Pekeliling Akauntan Negara Malaysia, SPANM) titled “Tarikh dan Peraturan Pembayaran Emolumen” (dates and rules for paying emoluments), which lists the payment date for every month of that year.
The 2026 schedule above is based on SPANM Bil. 5/2025, issued by ANM.
Dates can be amended after the circular is issued. For example, the March 2026 pay date was moved from 16 March to 13 March. When that happens, this page and the app show the new date together with the original one.
Who is paid on these dates?
This schedule is the emolument payment date for civil servants whose pay is processed by the Accountant General's Department of Malaysia. Statutory bodies, local authorities and state governments may follow the same dates or set their own — check with your employer's payroll unit.
In the ListBelanja app, anyone paid on other dates picks how they are paid instead: the same date every month, the last working day, twice a month, every week, every two weeks or irregular.
Pay dates in the ListBelanja app
- In the app, open Payday and choose “Civil servant” — the app uses ANM's official date every month, amendments included, with nothing for you to update.
- The monthly budget, money calendar and “Will it last until payday?” follow your pay cycle — from one payday to the next.
- Upcoming paydays are shown with the weekday and how many days are left; amended dates are marked together with the original date.
- A year ANM hasn't published yet is shown as a clearly labelled estimate and switches to the official dates by itself once they are published.
Not a civil servant? State rest days & public holidays
- Choose the state where you work — weekly rest days follow that state
- Federal & state public holidays from the government's official schedule, updated by itself
- Paid early before a festival? Set a one-off date
