Vehicles & BUDI95 — know your fuel cost and quota left

Every petrol station receipt you scan already holds the litres, the price per litre and the grade. ListBelanja builds fill-ups from them, tracks this month's subsidised BUDI95 litres against the current limit, works out your cost per km, and puts road tax, insurance, driving licence and service dates into your money calendar — with no GPS and without reading MyKad.

The BUDI95 meter

The subsidised litres you recorded this month are compared with your category's limit — basic, pickup/jeep, e-hailing or another limit — and that limit is read from the Ministry of Finance's official source and updates itself. You are warned when it's close and once it's passed. The meter is worked out from your own records; the official balance stays on the BUDI MADANI portal.

Fill-ups & costs

  • Fill-ups are built from petrol station receipts by themselves — litres, price per litre and grade are read from the receipt.
  • Add odometer readings to fill-ups for the cost per km and fuel consumption.
  • Monthly fuel cost for each vehicle; fill-ups without a receipt can be recorded by hand.

Key dates in your money calendar

Road tax, insurance, driving licence and service dates go into the money calendar as yearly bills and are reminded before they're due — in the same reminder list as your other bills. A work vehicle? Business petrol, tolls and parking can be recorded as Form B expenses, and mileage claims open straight from the vehicle screen.

Frequently asked questions

Does the app read my BUDI95 balance from the government system?

No. The meter is worked out from the fill-ups you record yourself; the app doesn't read MyKad or the BUDI MADANI system. Check your official balance on the BUDI MADANI portal.

Is my location recorded?

No. There is no GPS — fill-ups are built from receipts and the odometer readings you enter.

Can petrol be claimed in income tax?

Personal petrol and tolls are not individual tax reliefs. For a business, petrol, tolls and parking for work are Form B expenses — the business-use share only.
